It's been a while since I last posted my dreams, not that I've been having dreamless sleep, but rather that I have not have the time to note the details before jumping out of bed in the morning.

This morning, however, I was still thinking about the dream when I jump into the shower. It's probably due to the fact it is technically feasible .... hmmm.

zzzzz......

The air was crisp and fresh, I walked towards the living room with my eyes half-shut. Instead of the birds chirping away, I heard laughter and excited screams coming from the direction of my living room windows. Stretching my arms to wake my body up, I turn towards the commotion. I was so shocked by what I saw that I stopped mid-way with my arms in the air. There were 3 youngsters (university students) hanging just outside my windows. One girl is zipping from the opposite building towards them. I walked closer to the window and noticed that zip lines (flying fox) had been set up between my building and the one opposite. The kids are having the time of their lives.

zzzzz.......

Hmmmm.... I woke up wondering if it is actually possible to have a flying fox set up between my window & the flat in the next building a floor up? It might actually work! how exciting it would be to have facilities like that in hdb housing estates?

Self-Analysis : I've been too stressed out by work, had tried too hard to think of interesting activities for my foreign guests who will be in Singapore for a month each.

Love is in the air

I dragged my heavy luggage onto the bed and started to unpack a little. Sweetness rushes from my heart all the way to my face, like a fool, I couldn't stop myself from grinning ear-to-ear.

As I place my folded pink dress on the bed, his strong arms embraced me from behind. A gentle kiss on my cheeks. I turned my head to meet his lips with mine.

Love was in the air.....

The morning sun was rather glaring to the naked eye, but the comfort I felt from it's warmth kept me standing on the balcony. The streets below were buzzling with traffic and people rushing to work.

Behind me, a glass door seperates me from his room. Without noticing me watching him, he carefully lays his clothes on his bed. It's as if he had a plan he had to strictly follow. All of his stuff neated packed in his suitcase, slowly taken out one at a time and gently placed on his bed.

Dangerous Driving

I was in my mum's car. The car was parked at the side of the road on a slight slope. I pulled the hand-brake and got out of the car from the passenger side.

There was a ferrari parked behind my mum's car. Without thinking, I opened the ferrari's door on the driver side to check it out. Realising how bad this looks, I closed the door and hurried back to my mum's car.

I drove off in my mum's car (knowing I don't have a driver's license). I got nervous when I hear the police sirens and flashing lights. From the rear view mirror, I saw the police car stopped by the ferrari. In the mean time, another ferrari stopped by the roadside drove off. I had a hunch that it's related to the earlier ferrari, so I gave chase.

The traffic light in a distance turned red, the ferrari came to a stop at the red light. When I tried to slow down, I realise that the brake wasn't working. Just before I hit the ferrari just inches in front of me, the lights turn green and it drove off.

I could not stop the car by the road side now, I had to drive the car further away from the police. I must not be caught driving without a valid license, it could cost me the chance to drive legally for a long time. A tunnel (somewhere remote) came to mind, I drove on. I was careful not to push the accelerator too hard.

As I drove on, there is something strange with the car. It is reacting rather slowly to the steering. I tried to turn left at a junction, but the car was turning so slowly that I missed the turn. I had no choice but to turn right instead onto the highway. There is a sharp curve ahead. The ferrari in front of me started to spin out of control. I turn the steering wheel without knowing how the car would react. I turned it to the max. The car started spinning.

I woke up before the car hit the side of highway.

Come to think of it, I didn't think of pulling the hand-brake.... I wonder why....

Party

It is a music festival and I've been invited to the home of a local celebrity. It's situated at the top of a 30-storey building and extremely posh and spacious.

Everyone at the party are split up into little groups of 3 or 4 people. Most are on the floor working on jigsaw puzzles. With champagne in one hand, they were happily chatting away and trying to figure out which piece goes where.

I made my way up the curved marbled stairs to living room upstairs. More people scattered around, everyone is having a good time.

Just before leaving, I visited the mini-Cold Storage situated right in the home. There are 8 ailes of tidbits and 3 cashiers standing by. I walked around and picked up some (cheese) twisties. When I was paying for them, the hostess mentioned that she would request Cold Storage to set up such counters in her home every time she has a party.

Dream came true

The day has finally arrived. He has returned from abroad after many years of working hard in China, India and Japan. Will he be staying for good this time? Has he given up on us?

He had invited me to a mystery place for a surprise. Excited, I made my way to the place he had indicated on a handdrawn map. It is a building still under construction. The entire building is accessible; the walls and stairways are plain concrete; there were no handle bars along the stairways.

A young man in a black suit was waiting paitently at the entrance of the unfinished building. When his eyes met mine, he took a few brisk steps towards me and held me in his arms. I've missed his embrace, his warmth, his strength, his love. He took my hands and led me towards the basement. Slowly and carefully, I followed him down a stairway with no handle bars. If he had let go of my hands, I would not have been too afraid to take another step.

My dreams are mostly weird, here comes the strange part : The basement is a fully furnished and well renovated foodcourt. His hand tighten around mine, I could feel his excitement. I must have seem silly because I was grinning and I could not wipe that smile off my face. On one of the tables, was a feast of my favourite dishes he had prepared personally. His culinery skills had improved tremendously, I guess practice do make perfect.

He had attained his first goal in life : career. This tastefully done (pardon the pun) foodcourt is the fruit of his labour. The best food will be served here; the best memories will be created for patrons; the first of a chain of the new-technology foodcourt.

I would have attained my goal in life : love. We've stood the test of time. We still love each other deeply after the many years apart. I've found the one, my only one.

Rose's wedding

Rose is getting married and had invited me to help co-ordinate the wedding. I was thrilled but at the same time, I was afraid that I would mess it up.

When I arrived at the hotel where the wedding is to take place, some of the guests had already arrived. Most of the guests are standing around, not knowing what to do, therefore I sat them down and have them introduce themselves. I was determined to make this wedding fun for everyone, not just memorable for the newly-wed.

Rose was beautiful in her white gown, though the groom is no where to be seen.

While I was looking for some props to entertain my new friends, the guest started to move outside the building. Curious, I followed them. To my surprise, there is a big tent in the middle of the open field and it is crowded with people. In the middle of the crowded tent, a wrestling ring had been set up. Two fat man with red underwear were circling the ring, showing the crowd their "muscles".

To be continued......

Giant Bees

We are a civilization who had built our city inside a mountain. The core of the mountain is where our elevator is. The lower floors are the living quarters (the residential area). The upper floors are the offices, shopping areas, restaurants, etc. The most popular restaurant is “THE VIEW”, it is a restaurant built on the side of the mountain. It has half the restaurant suspended in mid air, with a breath-taking view of the surrounding. During the day, my friends and I like to go to “THE VIEW” for tea. This is the only place in our city where we could bask in the warmth of the sun.

It was a beautiful sunny Saturday. We’ve arranged to have tea at our usual hangout. I’ve met Maridith earlier at my quarters and we were to meet Olivia at the restaurant. As we make our way there, we were laughing and chatting loudly. When the elevator reached our destination level, Olivia turned to face us as she heard the commotion.

We could see the bright blue sky from where we were standing. Olivia smiled when she saw us. We were smiling at her too. But soon, we turned our focus towards a black dot in the distance sky. The black dot quickly became black dots, and they are growing bigger. In the mean time, we could hear some soft humming.

The outside world had became dangerous many years ago, therefore we had not seen any flying creatures in a long time. Curious, we moved towards the glass by the side of the mountain. Glazing intensely at the black dots. Fear started to creep into our hearts and our eyes widen when we could vaguely make out the shape. We rubbed our eyes, disbelieving what we have seen. They are huge bees and they are getting bigger as they get closer. I screamed and stumbled backwards.

My scream alerted everyone in the restaurant and had caused a panic. Some got out of their seats and ran towards the elevator. Olivia came over to help me get on my feet, but Maridith was too shocked to move.

The bees are now right outside the glass windows. They stared at us for a while before they started to bang the glass with their sting. The hair at the back of my neck was standing. I got a cold shiver, then I reached out and grab Olivia away from the glass. Before I could call out for Maridith to follow, the glass started to crack. I panicked and ran.

When I reached the elevator, I realized that Maridith did not follow. She was using her handbag to hit the intruders as they tried to squeeze their furry head through the broken windows. Tears filled my eyes. I am too scared to go help her. I ran into the elevator and I could see the bees stinging her as the doors closed.

I’ve left her behind. I am a coward.
